The Ulearn conference at the end of last term was inspirational and I’m still sorting things out in my head. I love this Danish video about an imaginary medieval help desk where people need help with with this new book technology stuff!

Michael Wesch’s video essay on information is packed full of insight and I keep returning to it for inspiration.

Year 12 students as part of their redox chemistry had to do the following.

  • choose a redox reaction
  • decide how they were going to demonstrate this reaction to the class
  • Prepare a short video clip about 1 minute in length to explain the redox chemistry involved.
  • Use Windows Movie Maker or other editing tool to add captions containing the ion electron equations.

The winning team were Nerdzherd .
